Since graduating Oldham County High School in 1989, Mark has owned and operated a series of businesses based out of the district. In 2001, Mark began Gilkison Construction Inc., and in 2004 he began Gilkison Real Estate LLC, both of which he operates in Henry County. In 2016, Mark purchased Gilkison Mini Storage, located in Trimble County.

Mark is a native of the region having been born in Louisville,  moving to Oldham County in 1986. In 2001, Mark and his wife Johnna purchased a farm,  and built their family's home in Henry County, where they raised their children, and still live today.

 

As a Builder, Real Estate Broker , and a small business owner working everyday in this district for the last 30 years, Mark has been able to help families in our community achieve the dream of home ownership. As a small business owner, Mark has learned how to negotiate through difficult issues and find a way to create a win-win for all involved. Mark knows you have to find a way to get things done, even if they seem impossible at the time.
